A disaster movie, revolution or an embarrassing illustration of the state of humanity in modern times?

The reason we say that hindsight is 20/20 is because we gain clarity and understanding of our experiences over the years and not over night.

It will take a while to even realize what actually happened.  At this time we are still riding the storm out. (several storms actually)   Which means that at this time we do not possess the objectivity nessicary to analyze the data and gain a reliable perception of what is going on.

It is certainly revelatory.  Is this New Year Celebration a new beginning or the Requiem of our cherished illusions?

Either way...

When I type in a word Google doesn't know (Turuilan) the results no longer give an option  to choose between what I typed in and what it recommends.  Now it just shows results for what it decides that I must mean.  You know, like closed minded people.  People forget, Google only knows what People uploaded into it's knowledge base.  And in this day and age anyone with zero credentials and any intent (to inform or mislead) can upload and add to the knowledge base.  Between that and the missing information (yet to be uploaded) it renders Google and the internet veritably useless to any serious researcher.  Sometimes you still have to use the Dewey Decimal System to track down a source and crack a book.

Among the various Magickal Arenas we share a lexicon of agreed upon terms. More than anyone else we understand and utilize the impact of language.   We see how language is used to control the masses and how it can be crafted to make people think that their thoughts are their own instead of the propaganda from the programing that they accepted.  We reject the program and struggle to excavate our individual (not group) authentic experience.

All in all the Individuals who walk their own path are pushing the envelope so hard that they might overlook something right under their nose.

The most interesting question people ask when discussing the identity of a spirit is whether it is an egregore or not. 

We ask this question essentially to determine its authenticity.  As in whether it is a thought-form generated by humans or possibly an entity that pre-exists humanity. As in whether it is a created or uncreated being.

Who is the creator in that scenario?

We give life with our thoughts like Zues gave life to Athena when she sprung from his head.

Egregor comes from the Italian Grigori which means Watcher and refers to a classification of Angel that we created.  The Latin Angelos has an entirely different meaning than the Hebrew word for Angel which means the Shadow of God. 

The implication of how we use the word Egregor is that you are a Creator so powerful that you can give life with your thoughts.  With your thoughts like in the Hermeticum where everything is described as thoughts in the mind of God. 

This is such an accepted axiom of Magick that we use it to charge talismans, concecrate tools and create change in accordance with our will. 

So just a reminder my friends, you are a God and You Know it.

Just A Thought

I had a weird thought at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, related to the fact that it affects peoples breathing.  I did not mention it because I am a Witch and I know that it tends to freak people out when Witches reference the Bible.  But even Crowley recognized it as a Grimoire.

The fact that Covid-19 affects peoples breathing made me think of several things at once.

Lucifer is the Lord of the Air.

But even more intriguing is the concept of the Rauch.  In Genesis when God breaths life into Adam he becomes a Living Soul.  In Genesis 6:3 God says that his spirit will not always dwell with man.  The Rauch is the breath, spirit and mind.  The thought I had was more of a question, is God withdrawing his spirit from man?  

As the year as progressed we have learned about more symptoms that also appear to affect the blood.  The Life is in the blood.

If the God of the Bible were withdrawing his spirit from man it would affect the Breath and Blood.  No longer a living soul what would you become?

Granted I don't believe that the Bible is accurate but in this case the lore is intriguing.

Belial

Belial is a hot topic, trending on social media. ✨🔥✨

Belial has probably the worst reputation of all the Ancient Gods that became known as a Demon. ✨😈✨

There is an old adage: where there is fear there is power.

I have witnessed some of the strongest and most brilliant Sorcerers talking about working with Belial.

So now everyone wants to work with Belial.  He is a great teacher and he has granted me miraculous gifts that I didn't even ask for.

The reason Belial has such a bad reputation is that if you work with him you are telling the Universe that you are ready to Rise Up and claim your Autonomy.

No gods, no masters: Belial is the ultimate Anarchist. 

So yeah all of the people trying to manipulate and control you, gone.

All of the situations enslaving you: gone. 

Gone, gone and gone by your own hand, your choice. 

So choose wisely. 

I still think that working with Belial is the wise choice.

Left Hand Path

The term left hand path is used and misused by various people to fulfill various agendas.  We have to put ideas into words that more often than not inaccurately convey the idea that we are trying to communicate.  

To me the Western Left Hand Path is self defined by the individual for purposes set by the individual.  As a social term it is useful to identify people who also think outside the box.  Although this can be problematic because people tend to build a new box and try to drag other people into their boxes. 

My personal definition of the LHP is never building a new box.

The hardest path is learning to think for yourself which means having to educate yourself so that you can actually form your own opinion.

You are free to learn everything about any box that you want to learn about just don't get stuck.

So for me the paradox is that I don't fit into a prepackaged definition of the term Left Hand Path that in itself is my definition of the LHP.

It is a lot of hard work but it is a hundred percent worth it.

Like the Tunnels of Set are not tunnels at all the Left Hand Path is no path at all.

Personal Freedom

You support Rioters Burning down businesses and neighborhoods.  You support rioters assaulting and murdering people for looking white.  It is okay for rioters to take over the streets and mob rule to become the law.

Mobs roam the streets literally raping and pillaging yet if you speak out against them then you will be labeled a racist or worse, a Trump supporter.  I am neither.  I am an advocate of personal freedom for all Americans.  But freedom is not freedom from consequences.

What is Happening

What is happening? 

I think the reason that we defy the word community is because this is not a commune and we are not communist.

I think that we resist the word tribal because tribalism is us and them.  Like communism tribalism represents a type of group think with some kind of centralized power. 

We resist any kind of labels.  We can't be a movement because we have no one agreed upon ideology behind us.  When we used the term LHP some people created a dogma around the term so some of us have rejected the label and some continue to use it minus any definition. 

We are not a Coven because cords are not measured to bind us. 

What I am a part of and witnessing is a gathering of individuals who work on projects together, study together and support each other as we dare to each walk alone through the fires of our individual transformation. 

So yes something is happening and we've been calling it family but many of us reject that idea as well because family can imply group think.  But like a family is supposed to be: we do nurture, goof off with and support each other. 

I do not think that we need a label.  It is happening with or without labels.  An organic gathering of individuals supporting each other in Forging our individual paths is happening.  We are Forging friendships and alliances and none of us are perfect but each of us is pushing the envelop of possibility. 

We are a gathering of individuals so we could call it G.o.I. but I would still pronounce it Joy. 

The road to freedom, individuality and power is tough and totally worth it on its own.  To get to hang out with other people also Forging their own Way, that is totally awesome and I am loving it. 

This is happening!

You might ask where I am witnessing this gathering?  I am seeing it all across various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook and YouTube.  On the livestreams the interactions between hosts, guests, admins and awesome individuals in chat are fun and honest.  You have to experience it for yourself or you are just going to think that I am hyping it up.

Praxis

It takes 40 days to create a new habit or break a habit.  This is an axiom of Yoga.  I have always applied certain Yoga principles to my Magickal and Meditation Practice.

Mantra Yoga is the art of tuning in to a specific Resonance/ Current through sympathetic vibration.  This alchemy process causes changes in your vibration.

Change in your vibration causes changes your life.  Because of the physical nature of the overall Alchemical Transformation I factored in a general rule of fitness from my workouts.  To get the optimal physical affect out of your workouts you have to practice a technique for at least twenty minutes. 

So I designed my own 20 minute/ 40 day Alchemy Practice in 2005 after reading a Kundalini Yoga book. 

The great thing about Yoga is that it is a collection of Techniques.  It is not a dogma or caught up in dualism.  The techniques can be plugged in and used to augment any Magickal System or Practice. 

Even within the Yogic Practices, the 20/40 Alchemy technique can be applied to Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Hatha Yoga.  The permutations of systems that can can be optimized through the clear understanding and implementation of Yogic Techniques are limitless. 

You have to understand that the Yoga techniques taught in the west are usually focused on the Asana.  The Asana is the kindergarten of Yoga techniques intended to train your body to not distract you from Your Path.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Yoga at the same time in my life when I was receiving Magickal Training in my first Coven in 1986.  At the time though I didn't realize how important it was that I learn both.  

A rose by another name is still a rose.  But if one rose is a puzzle with missing pieces or muddled twisted descriptions and the other is unbroken then one can be used as a key to unlock the other. 

When I was studying Etruscan Witchcraft, the more I learned the more excited I got.   I learned that there may have been an unbroken line of a Witchcraft Tradition that survived the inquisition in the shadow of the Vatican.  But see that is the problem, isn't it?  All of the Magickal Traditions being taught and all of the Grimoires are all puzzles with missing pieces.  Wouldn't it be nice if there was a science that could be used to objectively activate and utilize any system?  Damn that would be awesome.

Disclaimer: applying the 20/40 Alchemy technique causes actual changes which can manifest catastrophically so be sure to choose the Mantra carefully so that the changes will be aligned with your Path of Ascent.

I started my Yoga Journey in Fresno California with Violet Fulton in 1987.

When I talk about Yoga most people misunderstand because for the westerner the only marketable form of Yoga is focusing on the Asana.

Hatha Yoga in the East is considered the Kindergarten of Yoga because it is the foundation or cornerstone that supports the whole edifice of the Temple.

If you practice any kind of Spirituality or Magic (practice not just believe in) then you already are practicing all eight of these in varying degrees of proportion.

Yoga is a collection of techniques and not beliefs.  They are ways of harnessing each of your energetic aspects into one focal point, you. 

What ever Spiritual Path you walk Yoga Practice can and will help you to consciously refine and perfect your practice.

I was Initiated into the Coven of the Golden Ram during the first year that I began my Yoga Journey.  Early on I saw parralels in the two disciplines so it made sense to me to apply yoga techniques to my Magickal practice.  Sometimes to fill in the blanks or sort out the blinds when studying and working with various Grimoires.  

This proved to be very beneficial for me and allowed me to incorporate various Yoga techniques into my daily Magickal practice.  I definitely recommend practitioners look into the Eightfold Path of Yoga if you want to optimize your own Spiritual Practice.

Remember how when Johnathan Livingston Seagull was stretching his wings and pushing the envelope of possibility?  All of the other seagulls thought that he was being ridiculous.

That's how we look to the masses in 2020 because we are still stretching our wings and pursuing the possibilities of our Spirituality.

Remember that when the squabbles of land locked birds rifling through the trash reach your ears.

I first bacame aware of Systemic Racism when the Sheriff bought a property really cheap just outside of LA Harpe Illinois.  I have an inquisitive nature so I soon discovered the way he was able to afford it.

An African American woman purchased a House just outside of town.  She was moving her family to small town America to live the American Dream and the Good Ole Boy Club burned down her house.  Then the city claimed the property and gave it to the Sheriff.

That was 1980 and as far as Law Enforcement was concerned, no crime had been committed.  

That property went to the Sheriff's daughter and is the cornerstone of his families wealth and stability to this day. 

Civilization is agreements between people and in America there is an unwritten agreement by the good ole boy networks that have existed for many generations to terrorize POC.

This is one example of Systemic Racism hidden in plain site.

Before we can find solutions we have to identify what the problem really is.

They say that it is darkest before the dawn...

Civilization is agreements between people, let's agree: Black Lives Matter. 

En-courage Each Other

Tips and tricks to make your lockdown more fun.

You can't have fun if you don't feel good so number one is to try a new workout. 

YouTube, tubi and several streaming services have free fitness classes including Aerobics, Yoga and Weight Training. 

Move around the house.

Number two: try new cuisine.  Look up recipes and challenge yourself.  Try new foods and learn new preparation techniques. 

Number three: indulge in your passions.  Pick up whatever hobbies or projects that you have had on the back burner.  Now is the time to do what you love. 

Number four: take a life inventory so you can use this time to fine tune your life path.  Get organized and maybe Feng Shui the house. 

Number Five: safely celebrate your friends and family.  Stay connected online, in video chat and on the phone.  Open your heart and let people know how you really feel. 

Number Six: if you are into Magick there is a sea of books and techniques that you have never seen before.  Stretch your mind, stretch your Self.  

The most common area that even advanced practitioners can use improvement on is CONSCIOUS and Deliberate Astral Projection.   There are many good books about how to do this.  EA Koetting has a video course on this subject on balg.co 

My advice is to approach this technique scientifically with a partner or group so that you can identify each other and share experiences.  So you would be synchronizing your astral Projection. 

There is so much to learn that it takes many lifetimes. 

Number Seven: if you are lucky enough to be in Quarantine with your family, definitely take advantage of your time to enjoy each other's company.  Play badminton in the house, binge watch your favorite shows and debate the meaning of life. 

Eight: learn about a subject and or skill that you knew nothing about when the  lockdown started.  Something that you would have never considered looking into.  This is a great exercise for the brain.  Stay engaged, stay positive and exercise your critical thinking skills.

Genius

The thing about genius is that it often gets misunderstood, especially in the Magical community of writers.

You see, real inspiration and true genius bubbles over,  running down the sides of the cauldron, spilling over the ordinary banal rules of grammar.  And sometimes a misspelled word or violations of grammars parameters is a direct message from the Higher Self or Spirits.

I see it ever so often that one tome or another is overlooked because of the total disregard for syntax, spelling or punctuation.  Sometimes editors will even tell horror stories of such submissions. 

If your brain can't sort out a run on sentence then perhaps your brain is on autopilot.

Some of the most exciting books I've ever read and that are equally potent when put into practice, are not popular books.

Not because I'm "edgy" but because I love learning and pushing the envelope of Self Discovery.  

So next time you get excited about a Grimoire and the nay sayers try to steer you away or distract you: remember that true genius breaks the rules and is rarely recognized by its contemporaries.
